Tonga proudly showcased its cultural and trade potential at the 7th China International Import Expo (CIIE), held in Shanghai from November 5 to 10, 2024. The five-day event brought together nations and businesses from around the globe to uncover exciting trade opportunities, with Tonga presenting unique and marketable products.
Leading Tongaโs delegation were two skilled artisans, Siaola Tangifua and Christopher Malani, representing the private handicraft sector. Assisting them was Fononga Veikoso, an official from MTED. Theyโve highlighted Tongaโs rich cultural heritage through traditional handmade products. Their mission? To captivate international buyers and open doors for Tongan products on the global stage.
