MTED Briefs the Prime Minister on Business Reform Progress and Priority Projects

Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Trade and Economic Development, Hon. Dr. Viliami Uasikē Lātū met with the Hon. Prime Minister, Lord Fakafanua, to present a mid-year update on key reforms and projects. The update covered significant progress on major initiatives including the Vavaʻu Multipurpose Packhouse Facility, the draft Kava Bill and the fully online business registry services. The Hon. PM commended MTED’s efforts and encouraged the Ministry to maintain its focus on strengthening Tonga’s business climate and enhancing service delivery for all Tongans. MTED will continue to advance key projects in line with the Prime Ministers guidance.
