This morning, the Ministry of Trade and Economic Development (MTED) Hon. Minister Dr. Viliami Uasike Lātū welcomed a courtesy visit from the European Union (EU) Ambassador to the Pacific, H.E. Barbara Plinkert. Discussions covered Tonga’s trade relationship with the EU and the Interim Economic Partnership Agreement (IEPA), with Tonga now at the final stage of completing membership.
